Minxlj - much as I can't stand him, as someone who cooks a lot, I also enjoy his syle of cooking. Decent fresh ingredients chucked together.

Mosh - Nigella scares me. Is it me or does she get more goth everytime I see her. She's like some kind of compulsive eater too - in the sense that she'd bit the heads off a live chicken because she's too hungry to wait and cook it.

She's another one, live the mockney who creates a fanciful little world that we're supposed to buy in. TV celebs popping around for a impromptu dinner party etc etc.

I can't cook to save my life. I go more for "heat stuff up". However, my only memory if Delia is still that hilarious "WHERE ARE YOU!!!" rant at Norwich all those years ago.

As for top TV chef, it'd have to be Nigella. No idea what her cooking's like, but what I wouldn't like to do with her, a bag of carrots, some chocolate spread and a spatula.

I must admit I lost a little respect for Delia after seeing the 'cheats' stickers in Sainsbury's. I turn to Delia's recipes when I want to make a cake PROPERLY, when I need to know the recipe is failsafe. Not when I want to cheat. Half-making something with 'cheat' ingredients usually ends up costing you more, and doesn't taste half as good. It's just a marketing ploy for the supermarkets and the chef whose fame has maybe become a little hidden in the last few years.

I do like Jamie Oliver though - he came about at a time of prissy, middle class chefs and turned it all around with an informal, taste-it-and-see style of cooking that I really think works. Every one of his recipes I've made I have adored, and it's all healthier than anything Delia comes up with! Most of all I ENJOY his style of cooking.

Well I can imagine that all this talk is only helping to publicise the book and boost sales. So maybe there is no such thing as bad publicity.

There are such things though as... self respect, reputation, pricipals etc.

Don't suppose they'll survive.

I might just resort to lobbing a few frozen lasagnes in her direction. This new programme smacks of desperation, I imagine the idea came to her one night whilst watching Nigella Express and thinking "my walk-in pantry is bigger than yours, love". Although we are all talking about her again, though, is there really no such thing as bad publicity?
